    If you’re a video production specialist but have never been on a real movie set then you are definitely missing out. It can be like a wonderful couple of weeks at summer camp where everyone is on a team and everyone has their specific role. This idea of specializing often trickles down to the corporate world as well. Even if there’s only 3 crew members on set, it’s important to establish clear crew criteria of who is responsible for what. This doesn’t mean that tasks won’t overlap, they certainly will, but this does mean that people work best when they have clear objectives. Because of this, it’s good to know how a film set breaks down so that you can understand how the pieces could most effectively go together as you productions scale up and down.
