    Absolutely.

    It all depends upon the effect you're looking for(the further from the 'natural' colors, the more dreamlike the image will be).

    Think of Dario Argento and his use of pinks, for instance. 

    Soft warm tones are the most forgiving(straw. chocolate) but feel free to experiment with whatever strikes your fancy.

    Princess and the Warrior, Amelie, Fight Club - all very stylized in terms of color.
