[TSMG] CMPA President Norm Bolen: An Update on the Current State of the Canadian Film & TV Industry
Whether you’re a Screenwriter, Producer, Director or an Actor making strides in the Canadian industry one of the best things you can do for your career is to keep up-to-date on developments in the Canadian Film and Television industry and all of its ever-changing glory.

The TSMG has a fantastic opportunity for all its members to join us for the evening on Monday August 29th, at the Canadian Media and Production Association (CMPA) for “An Update on the Current State of the Canadian Film & TV Industry” featuring the President and CEO - MR. NORM BOLEN.
The CMPA is a non-profit organization that represents over 400 Film, Television, and interactive media companies across Canada. The CMPA’s mandate is to promote and stimulate the Canadian media production industry while supporting independent Canadian Producers, Filmmakers and Screenwriters. The CMPA releases annual reports on the state of the Canadian industry, of which TSMG members can now catch a behind the scenes glimpse!

Prior to his current tenure as President and CEO of the CMPA, Norm Bolen was the Executive Vice President of Content for Alliance Atlantis Communications. Bolen’s role at Alliance Atlantis involved overseeing programming for thirteen Canadian specialty networks (ex. Showcase, Slice, HGTV, BBC Canada, etc.), so his grasp on the trends of the Canadian industry could be categorized as “immense”.
